I know that people get surgery everyday, that doctors perform it everyday, but this will be my first. I’m going in tomorrow for a micro discectomy. I’ve done all my homework. This is the least invasive surgery to solve the problem, surgery is a necessity and the neurosurgeon doing it came very highly recommended from several different authorities.
Even though I know all of these things, the mere fact that I haven’t had any experience with surgery (besides getting wisdom teeth out) is causing me to freak out just a bit. I’d rather not think about it if I can help it, so I need to log off now.
Have you ever been operated on and did you freak out?
